Attached you will find information on the 2009 Wood Badge Scholarship programs especially for members of the appropriate organizations: AFL-CIO or VFW who are active in Scouting.
Three national scholarships will be provided for each of the four regions. The scholarship provides the course fee for the six-day Wood Badge training program. The recipient must provide transportation to and from the course. Once the recipient has successfully completed the course, the council should send an invoice for the course fee to the Volunteer Development Department, S209 at the national office. Upon receipt of the invoice, the council will be reimbursed the course fee.
The application should be completed in accordance with the instructions thereon and must be sent, postmarked no later then February 15, 2009, to: Volunteer Development Department / Council Solutions Group, S209, Boy Scouts of America, P.O. Box 152079, Irving, Texas 75015-2079.
